Pho Dau Bo Restaurant's Reviews and comments
Pho dau bo (pho ox head) is a wonderful local restaurant. Very authentic Vietnamese food. The pho bowl was very delicious. You get to choose your own meat toppings! The bowl was very flavourful and full of aromatics. Each spoonful of soup provided a blast of Unami that covers your taste palate in deliciousness while making you want to get another spoonful. The portions are very generous for noodles. The meat is all tender and delicious. Highly recommend this place for pho!
Soup is very good and nice staff and clean restaurant.
Amazing prices, better food, and good vibes. First time trying Pho, highly recommended.
Wonderful takeout!!! I don’t eat bean sprouts, so I always leave notes when I am ordering. They follow the instructions and no bean sprouts!! And dine in feels good as well! Favorite pho in town
I've been eating here ever since i was a child. It's absolutely amazing, the soup is the best in town! I've been to pho places all over downtown and nothing can compare to this one that close to home <3
Whenever I have a bad week and need some food that feels like home, I go here. Their rice with pork chop, grilled chicken and fried egg is a must try! Their pho broth is also very refined and delicious 10/10
Really enjoyed the Pho here. Warm service from the staff and very likable too! The springroll was surprisingly good 👍
As of writing this review they’ve now allowed indoor dining during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I’ve been coming to pho dau bo for years and they’ve now renovated the interior. Everything looks clean, the food is still great, and all tables and chairs are distanced accordingly.
I’m kinda sad about the limited menu, the dish I usually order banh cuon isn’t on the menu right now, but I hope in the future they add it back again.
Good food with good proportions
It's a very authentic restaurant with a very fast service. I like the soup flavour from their Pho. It's also relatively on the cheaper side. Will come back again for sure.
This is one of the first location for this chain of pho restaurants near Finch and Weston, they've been around the neighborhood for many years now and probably one of the widely known pho restaurants in this area. There is plenty of parking in the strip plaza and a few other restaurants but never out of spots when I come.
This place is usually fairly busy but the wait is usually fast because the order goes in and comes out like the flash. Everyone just comes and goes as fast as the food. I don't mind it at all because this is not a fancy restaurant that needs time to prep or fine dining atmosphere, it's almost like fast food but not.
Piping hot noodle soup full of MSG what more can you ask for. I always just get the special #342 thinly sliced beef, tripe, beef balls a little bit of everything. Sometimes we like to order some fresh rolls like today, we got the shrimp fresh rolls and pork fresh rolls. The pork fresh rolls are made with some rice noodles, shredded pork skin, basil, bean sprouts all wrapped in a rice paper roll.
Best time to have it is when it's colder weather, rainy days, best hang over cure for me actually and most of my friends.
One of the best phõ that I had ever tried and the place it's really clean.
Reasonably spacious enoughh for dine in. Separate washrooms for both genders available and maintained properly and clean.
Great food good service, i hace about 10 years eating at this restaurant, they should have waitress and cashiers that speaks english because it is always a bit difficult to communicate effectively otherwise i would give them 5 stars.
The pho was good. The guy who said there is little amount of meat clearly did not eat here. The meat portion is way more generous than more inner city restaurants.
Hidden pho gem in Vaughan! The meat is fresh, the pho broth aromatic, service great, place very clean. The side dishes (pork shrimp cold rolls) with peanut sauce was awesome. Good prices! Instantly one of my favorites.
The soup was delicious. We ordered a large, well-done beef and chicken soup. It was wholesome and enough for the two of us. The soup once ordered was delivered in 2 minutes. The soup tasted so good and there was no need to add any add-on flavours to it. We also ordered some shrimp starter but wasn't as drawn to that. Please ask the polite waiter what to order incase you're confused. He's a seasoned and knowledgeable personality.
Enjoy the soup :) Attached image below.
The best pho I have had in toronto/gta. Broth is amazing, good portion size, well priced, and ready in a few minutes. Have been here probably more than 50 times, never had a bad experience. Also their avocado milkshakes are amazing. Order one a few minutes before you leave so it'll be ready and you can take it to go.
Been going here since i was a kid, food is always good and service is nice. Very friendly
Cool place to have a delicious meal. Recommend for everybody!
You know, when the tea is good in a Vietnamese resto, the food is good. Restaurants with constant good feedbacks have a reason for it: people there are nice! 👍🏻
Best pho in the T.O!!!
If someone can tell me where I can find better Pho il be damned. Excellent family spot, good prices for the portions. Might be the best pho I've ever had.
Very good for a pho chain. Tried some of the other locations too and they are consistently good. I especially like their rice dishes for some reason. Portions are awesome. I ordered the Jack Fruit Shake and it wasn't good but other than that everything else was spot on.
Been going here for years. Food is great, comes out quick
Just the best Vietnamese restaurant I know in GTA.
However, with this pandemy they don't show you real menu, so it's hard to choose unless you know what you want
Fast service and great food.
This restaurant is very clean and the food is amazing.
Good food, awesome service.
Really great place for a fast quiet meal.

Loved the food. Staff were nice. Prices were good.
Reasonable price, friendly staffs and good food
Very good authentic vientnamien soups
very good food..love their pho and rice dishes..great service.
Love the pho at this location
Great food at great prices
Good value. If you don't mind the lack of decor, the very dated and well used furniture, and somewhat grimy place, then it's one of the better tasting Pho places in this area.
This place is very decent and less price with good quantity of food.
Very good place to go for dinner with family & friend's.
Pho and other dishes are tasty! Portions are generous! Service is quick! And you are served tea (free) even if you're waiting for a take out order! Great place been going here for awhile! Definitely recommend it if you live in the area or passing through this part of town to grab a bite to eat!
Me and my family love this place, the customer service, the price, the food and serving are good.
I always recommend this pho restaurant.
Pretty legit pho.
This location is my family's go-to Viet restaurant. The price is reasonable. However, it does seem like the portion size has decreased a bit. The service was never great for as long as we've been going there since I was a kid. But that seems to be the case with all the other Vietnamese restaurants I've gone to. Their food never disappoints though - probably why we continue to be returning customers. Ample parking with unfortunately no wheelchair accessibility. I highly recommend trying their cơm tấm (broken rice) dishes - here makes the best ones and their phở đặc biệt. They've slowly renovated overtime so the interior and washrooms looks decent now. Overall I'd recommend this place for the food, not particularly for the service. You'd have to pay at the front after your meal and their take-out service is okay too.
One of the best pho places my family has ever been to. We know people who are from the culture who will drive long distance to come here because it's one of the best pho in toronto
Viet places usually have exceptional value and this one was no exception. I got a large bowl of soup for $8.50, and I left very full. Service was extremely quick, although not friendly (not unfriendly either, just indifferent) . The biggest issue was the cleanliness - I could feel the soles of my shoes sticking to the ground and our table was greasy.
I have been going here since a teenager. I now have three kids and we love to have pho from here.
I was surprised at the quality of the seafood pho. Not in a good way. Definitely from frozen stock, the lettuce was brown in more than two places and the taste was a bit off. Portion sizes are great and the price was also reasonable. I think I'll edit this review based on a rare-beef pho upon my next encounter.
Thé good is awesome and the price is affordable
The food was very tasty and full of flavour. Prices are cheap. And the staff were friendly albeit they speak little to no English
I don't write many reviews but when I do it's because I'm either very impressed or unimpressed. This place has been the go to pho place for my mom and I. The staff are attentive and accommodating. The pho broth is very good. They are one of the few places (that I know of) that offer Ve Don. When I order extra of something, they are generous with the amount they give. One time I ordered $3 worth of extra tendon at another joint and they gave me 2 small pieces. Here they give you like 5 larger pieces. Love it here.
My favourite place for Pho. Especially Ve Don. Beef quality is great.
This place opened with social distance and precaution in place. I can't emphasize how pristine this is. The food is as good as it when I was there. The smoothie doesn't appear on their limited menu. Ask them what flavour smoothie they have.
If you've been yearning for Vietnamese in Toronto like it was 2003 you will Love this authentically delicious gem!
Love their Pho! It’s delicious.
Best pho in Toronto !!
Best soup and vermicelli in the area.Service is always great.
Great service!, and the food is amazing!
This place is pretty good and the service is alright. The lady nearly charged my friend the wrong price but was later fixed. I definitely recommend this place if driving around that area but the one across Sheridan mall is better (Pho Con Bo).
Less items in the menu now.
First time experiencing Pho. Was a good experience. Service was good. Food was ok.
I’ve been going here since 2002. The is hands down the BEST PHO I’ve ever had. I drive across the city to get it. The owners and staff go out of their way to make you feel like family.
Very well kept and accessible spot. They provide big portions and for economical prices. I loved the food a lot and the staff were super amiable and informative. Will definitely recommend this spot.
Service was good. Beef noodle soup noodles were done very correctly...beef slices were a bit less than should be. My wife had Bun Bo Hue she says it was pretty good. All in all about 71/2 out of 10. Good value. Clean washrooms.
Delicious PHO! If you know; you know. Definitely a place to try.
Great place to eat
I'm not a fan of pho at this place, just not my bowl of pho. However, still 5 stars for friendly and fast service, great coffee and spring rolls. Their other dishes could be delicious as well but I didn't got the chance to try.
Excellent place and delicious food
Found this place randomly on my way North. It was pretty empty when I walked in and was told to sit where ever. The food was great! Portions were huge! Came out super fast! They really should get 5 stars just for the food!
They are getting four stars for service and atmosphere. It was obvious I had never been there before and the staff was not very welcoming. The entire time they were talking loud, sometimes yelling across the restaurant to each other in Vietnamese.
All that said, I would still go back because the food was really that good!
Fav spot for pho hands down(◍•ᴗ•◍)❤ well done to the staff and owner and they are nice to add... really yummy broth it is very tasty and not rushed like most pho places taste to me.. it's definitely done with love (´∩。• ᵕ •。∩`)
Great food. Great service.
Have been coming here for YEARS. Best day to come by are Wednesdays, broth seems to taste the best. Staff know me and is always a pleasure to see them. Been to other locations and broth seems watered down compared to this location. Only thing I would say is that they definitely need a bigger space place always packs up on weekends and maybe a updated renovations. Other than that I will forever be loyal to THIS location for all my pho cravings! KEEP IT UP GUYS!
I've been here a few times and have tried different menus each time. The service was fast and the food was very good. The reason I'm giving 3 stars out to this place is because the staff there are too loud. When I got there for the second time, the staff were gathered at a table and were talking and laughing so loudly. It was even hard to get their attention to order something. There was only one other table and us, but I couldn't even hear my friend at the same table as me because the staff were being too loud. Not so professional staff, but great food.
Oh how I miss this place. Been coming here for more than a decade now. Too bad covid had been making it difficult to eat out. The food is simple and filling.
Most authentic pho in Toronto...no other pho restaurants beat this one so far. Have been a loyal customers for 15 years and I never get sick of their original rare beef and beef balls pho. I have tried other dishes but I prefer sticking to this one since this is the best. Always need to get a large when I come!
Great pho, been going here for over 10 years. Always had nothing but great experiences.
The food is good, but I've had better. The prices are cheap for the portions so it's pretty good. Taste wise it's good. Only a 3 because I have high expectations for Vietnamese food.
Also because I got diarrhea eating here. ... yes.. you read it right. .. but still 3 stars
Good food and good service. Anything you get will be flavourful and filling. The fruit smoothies are yummy. The interior is clean and inviting. I love coming here.
Beat place for pho
Love their food, I’ve been going here since I was a kid and it’s just become a tradition of ours to come as a family to eat here. Never had problems and everything always came at a decant paste. Prices are fair and their customer service is good. Heads up it gets a bit busy on weekends.
You can't go wrong with their staple dishes - pho, rolls, vermicelli etc. Consistent taste, quality and generous portions.
Now, for the rest of the menu, I have my Viet friends mention that the not so oft ordered dishes are close to authentic and are homey. If you like something spicy to lift up your spirits, the Bun Bo Hue is a great choice.
Service is quick, even when the restaurant is packed.
I went yesterday there to eat noodles. Now inside renovated, more cleaning ,cool, comfortable.
The service is ok. Waitresses don't speak great English, but the paper ordering takes care of that. They are very quick, and your order comes in max 10 minutes. The portion sizes are enormous! First time I came here, I couldn't even finish my regular bowl. Prices are good, you'll easily get a full meal for under 15 bucks. I come here weekly for breakfast, and I will be coming back!
Been coming here since i was a child, fried springrolls and phõ 10/10
This is one of our regularly visited restaurants and so far the best Vietnamese Restaurant we know. This place never fail food wise, always fresh, quick service, best soup in town,no question about it.If you want Vietnamese food,is a Must try!
In the area and finding a dinner place. This was one of the many Vietnamese restaurants in the neighbourhood. Even at the same plaza as Pho Dau Bo, there were 3 other Vietnamese stores!
I ordered their pho special that consists of everything in one bowl of noodles. It was not bad in flavour but their beef wasn't as tender. I also ordered one of their fruit slushie. It was delicious! Definitely recommended.
Our service was average. Food was served quick and they gave our table of 6 a lot of bean sprouts.
Food was decent, service was okay?
Pho Dau Bo offers big portions for good price which is great for those who are hungry but on a budget. The taste is fine, not bad but not amazing either. Service however is just okay. You ask something they give it to you then leave. They do not interact with their customers that much because they are often doing something. But overall its a good experience. I recommend Pho Dau Bo for people who wants a cheap eat and a place where they can chill
Flavourful. By far the best pho I've ever had. I come here all the time with family and friends. The prices are great, the service is quick and the staff are cheerful. Most importantly, the soup never disappoints!
This place isn’t fancy but the Pho will shine like a million dollar saloon. try it. It’s by far the best pho I’ve ever had and I love Pho and I have tried many places. Some lime, sriracha and you’ll never look back. Enjoy!
Love this place.
This has been my go to place, no matter how far I am coming from. Food never disappoints, and comes very quick once ordered.
Lots of people complain about the service in their reviews about this place, but I have never had a problem. If you want something, just ask when they walk past, or say "excuse me..." I actually prefer not being approached every 5 minutes asking how my food is, or if I need anything.
The food is great, and staff are friendly. I recommend everyone I know to come here.
The best Pho in Toronto. Who cares if the restaurant isn't fancy looking or modern. It is respectably clean and tidy, staff are friendly and attentive. As long as the food quality is top notch, that's all that matters.
The best Pho in North York area. My boyfriend works here as a chef for 3 years. All staffs are nice like a Vietnamese family.
I had a big group and some were late but they handled the situation well despite being busy and the place being full. Food was great! I had the 343 on the menu and the service was on point. Reason why i couldn't give 5 stars was for about 30mins it started smelling like bleach i guess since someone was cleaning in the back which made unpleasant but overall it's nice spot!
We’ve been going to this place for the last 20 years and go out of the way to come here for good pho. It’s clean and it’s kept but it’s by no means fancy. You come here for deliciousness. The pho broth is especially tasty here as it’s more fragrant and spicy (in the spice sense, not chili spiciness ... is there a word?) and a nice beef fattiness. Worth going out of your way for.
Come for the pho, soup is excellent!
