This place did not disappoint. I was looking for a classic breakfast diner and that is exactly what I experienced. Absolutely excellent friendly service. My server Cathy went over and above but can't forget to mention that other employees offered the same service during my visit. I selected eggs Benedict today and it was awesome. Strongly recommend.

Great diner food for the price! Very clean surroundings. Outstanding service by Dan bumped up the rating to 5 stars. Our first time eating here, but our daughter frequents and said the 'all day breakfast' is not only a true all day (everything made fresh to order, not a limited menu) isalways excellent!

I've tried to come here for breakfast a few times and it's always been a lineup. One day I was near and looked to see there wasn't any. I came in, was greeted immediately and sat down. Vaccination was checked and had a great breakfast. It was busy but not crazy. Thank you to the staff for a great experience.

August 29, 2021 Al's Diner offers an exceptional classic dining experience. This place has excellent customer service, bottomless coffee, and a wide-ranging menu. The Meditteranean Omellete is quite delicious, especially when modified with only egg whites. The classic diner vibes, paired with a welcoming ambiance, provide a superb breakfast experience. There is also ample parking. Highly recommend!

Went this morning for a nice quick breakfast. The meal was delicious, and our server, Dan was polite, attentive, and engaging. Give that man a raise!!!!! The food is always incredible, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is the cherry on top of an incredible overall experience. Will definitely be back again!

Last minute birthday brunch! They were able to take 10 of us and put us in the back in a secluded area surrounded by separation walls. The service was great and the food delicious!! The eggs Benedict was amazing!! 😍 I will be back for sure!

Great food! Great service! Very clean, fun and friendly atmosphere. Covid precautions aplenty. My only suggestion would be that the gentleman behind the bar (Al, I assume) put on a mask when he is going to be walking out close to his customers. We were seated right beside the kitchen where the servers go in and out. He came out from behind the bar and passed within inches of my son several times while we were eating our breakfast. This made me feel quite unsafe. There are no vaccine requirements for restaurant staff. Masks, however, are mandatory for all who face customers. Even if you own the place. Your customers are unmasked and vulnerable while they eat. You should be protecting them.

Tried this place on a whim, and they did not disappoint. They had good food, great staff, and a nice place to grab breakfast. It was quick, coffee was flowing, and I will definitely give this place a go again when I am in that area of town. Great job to the Team at Al's!

Went to Al's with a friend for breakfast. The food was decent, no complaints there. The coffee was good. But the service... We had a nice fellow at first, but after, my friend and I chatted for a bit while we finished our coffee. Maybe ten minutes later a waitress came over and told us that we had to leave because they were going to be busy soon. There were plenty of tables available, and even the patio was empty. I've never been asked to leave a restaurant before, and I can assure you, I won't because I won't be going back to this establishment. Shame, because I did like their potatoes. *Update- I spoke with Al and he was very kind and accommodating. I'll be fair and re-rate from 2 to 4 stars.

Mom and pop diners are only as good as their servers. The food was absolutely fantastic and the value for what I received on the Al’s special, eggs, bacon, toast, beans, and toast was phenomenal. But to the point that, my coffee cup never went empty. I was checked in with often, taken care of, felt very comfortable, sorted the order out to get exactly what I requested...the service provided by Caroline was that of a five star Michelin rated restaurant. No grumpy or offhanded comments, just a genuine kindness with phenomenal food and service with the sense that I was literally in her home breakfast nook. Easy parking, the kitchen, the staff .......this place is the hands-down best experience for brunch I have ever had in the city. Thank you.

Covid 19 friendly atmosphere, dividers were placed in between tables. Food and service was great, servers were very friendly and efficient. We got our breakfast very fast and it was hot. Great spot for breakfast.

My family loves Al's. The servers are fantastic and always treat my kids with kindness and respect. The food is good-I have never been disappointed by their breakfast. Try a BLT with peameal, you won't be disappointed. Good pizza, as well. It's just a gem of a diner.

Unfortunately it's closed because of covid ...but I have been coming here since the 80's..Husband and wife team..No surprises ...good food..waitress was friendly ...place is clean...lots of TV's for sports.yes they do takeout.

What a wonderful experience we had here! I went with my friend Cheryl, she had eggs benny and I had the Al’s special breakfast. It was delicious! Our server was very nice to us while we decided on what we wanted. Very easy location to get to.

Great spot. I don't usually believe in ordering breakfast for take out, but given the lockdown, no other option. Arrived home with 2 breakfasts for my girlfriend and I, everything was still as hot as it would have been if we ate in. Same great quality and they actually pay attention to special requests (there was no option online for sunny side up eggs, but I had requested it in the notes section) and they got it bang on! This may not be a huge factor to some, but there have been too many times with other restaurants where they basically skip through the extra notes section. Well done Al's, can't wait to be back on your patio.

Al's has that absolutely perfect, classic diner breakfast. It was the last diner breakfast I had before Covid lockdowns and now it's one of the first I've had with restrictions lifting, and it has been exactly what I wanted every time.

Perfectly comfortable solo breakfast at the counter and the food was so good. $10.45 all in! And I love that the specials include coffee and toast. The home fries were great and the food was HOT which I absolutely love. They served my food in less than 15 minutes after walking in and my coffee never got cold. Can't ask for better, honestly since they also cooked my over-medium eggs perfectly.

Best standard breakfast. Avoid arriving between 10 and 11 on weekends for breakfast if you want the best experience. Portions are generous. Home fries are always crispy, bacon is delicious and plentiful. They brew delicious coffee. What makes this hole in the wall so special is that you get exactly what you expect. Friendly atmosphere.

This diner stands out for its fast service and good food. Be in time because it can be very busy over lunch, especially on Friday’s. Very local place if you want to break away from the tourist traps and have a genuine local experience. The blackboard lunch specials are around 10 dollars which gives you soup, main course and a dessert.

Don't be fooled by the industrial looking location - Al's has the Best value and good quality. I come here for the French toast and regular breakfast. It is so worth it and so damned affordable. Coffee is smooth.
