I went here a few weeks ago and was pleasantly greeted by the staff. When I had gone here as a highschool student and into my college years I could always count on them to be open until the craziest hours to accommodate my hilarious food cravings at ungodly times. I strolled at quarter to eleven not realizing they were closing in 15 minutes (because pandemic schedules). I apologized profusely and ordered only for my husband because I told him I had a food surprise for him. They realized I was making my order smaller to not inconvenience them and they made sure I ordered what I wanted for myself too. I know what it's like to have to scramble to put orders together so close to closing and truly appreciated their kindness and how it wasn't inconveniencing them to help me. Always great good for good value. If I didn't live in Caledonia I'd be there supporting their business much more in these crazy times.

Our first time here. The roast beef sandwich is a must have, tender thinly sliced beef on a soft roll with just enough gravy. Have the basket with fries and coleslaw and you won’t leave hungry.

Used to go to Tally Ho the better part of a decade ago when I was at McMaster. Stopped by for lunch today as I was in the area for work and the roast beef sandwich was as good as ever! Glad they are still around and making satisfying eats.

Even though the order got messed up a little bit, I have to commend them. Only two folks were working there when we went but they nailed it! The food was fantastic and perfectly cooked, and they were super friendly. 10/10 on roastbeef and chicken burgers~

We absolutely love this place, like where else do u get a real shaved roast beef sandwich, my mom gets us dinner here once a week its the best the gravy is so thick the portion sizes are still great I mean wen we first started going here we got more fries but honestly the amount we get now is still great, my only suggestion would be if ppl r buying the basket to give them the option to get a can drink or coleslaw n maybe a kids size sandwich just an idea. Plus I love how wen we get it home (by gage park) it's still hot!! Such a great place love it!! Keep up the great work hopefully my suggestions r considered 😀

I had a double roast beef sandwich. My expectation was higher; for me, the portion was small, there was too much gravy in my sandwich, and it tasted unsalted. I might go back to try different a sandwiche, but I don't think I will have another roast beef sandwich

Great prices (cheaper than some subway footlongs for a whole basket of food), and the food comes fast and fresh. Only issue is the price of the add on gravy for fries on a basket, it adds 11% onto your bill. I think the price for a side gravy at a place that uses a ton of gravy on your $5 Sandwhich should be cheaper. The place does need some cleaning but it does have that diner charm

To the owners: bring back the old thick gravy. Maybe it was just this time, but consistency is key to repeat customers. The beef sandwich is nice, but was lacking in gravy too. Really the gravy is the reason to visit. Please redeem the gravy!

I've been going to Tally Ho 40+ years now. It never changes which is fantastic. Everytime I visit Hamilton its my lunch stop. Roast beef sandwich extra gravy and fries with gravy. Yum

It's okay. Thumbs down on the coffee (but that's just me). Thumbs up on the onion rings I ordered. The washroom was the warmest place on the day of my visit.

Its alright nothing special burgers are frozen pre-made roast beef kept cold in a Tupperware and then reheated when ordered gravey is just normal beef gravey. Nothing special just ok

I hadn't been here in almost 10 years but luckily this place hasn't changed! I shared the double beef basket with my partner and it was plenty for both of us for just over $10! Aside from their usual tasty roast beef they do burgers and usual fast food fare but I must confess I've only ever had the roast beef because its delicious!

This gem! I would drive (and have) an hour to eat their delicious roast beef and gravy sandwich. Homemade all the way. Goes back over 40 years tradition with my in-laws. Kids love thier chicken fingers and fries basket as well. Very fair pricing.

I visited earlier this week,but have been going there for about 15 years.I was surprised and dismayed when I realized the girl on the cash did not have a mask on.The lady that prepared my food did have a mask on but it was pulled down.Usually the food is great but this time the beef was dry-almost no gravy on it and it tasted old. The no masks and so so food put me off going back anytime soon.

Always great food. I've been going to Tally Ho for at least 15 years and the food is consistent and delicious. The double beef basket is my go-to, with gravy on the side for those delicious extra crispy fries. The beef has been cooked the same way, and the gravy is the same now as when I first went there. One bite and your eyes roll into the back of your head and you say "oh my gahhh" before gorging yourself on the rest of the meal until your stomach hurts. The stomach ache is worth it, trust.

The Tally Ho was one of those places that we drove past many times, said that we should try it one day and years later we finally ate there and man do I wish that we had gone here the first time we saw it! The roast beef is the MOST tender that I have ever had! And the gravy is the BEST that I have ever had! We felt that the amount that we received was fair for the cost. The fries were nothing really special, definitely not fresh cut, but once you combined them with the gravy, the y were great!

I am going to start with I have been going here since it opened way back when. There have been times when the product wasnt up to their usual excellence...just the meat that they received...no fault of their own. Last night was a whole different ball game. I commented about both behind the counter not wearing masks while serving customers. The response from the young lady was and I quote "we don't have to" at which I raised my eyebrows. Then I asked " I thought it was a requirement to wear a mask while serving customers...to which she replied "look it up on line" .At that point I responded the same way she did and informed her I was asking the question and her sarcastic rude response was not called for. I then had a pleasant conversation with the gentleman that was preparing my order.
