Incredible service and meal at Uncle Ed’s. A true memory flash of how my hubby’s Grandma made it all. Fresh, filling and delicious food. The servers were all super and had colouring pages and scented crayons for the kids plus ice cream for dessert and goodie bags for Halloween! It’s as local as you can get - we will have to go more. The Happy Pop’s were also a blast from the past. Mmmmmmmm

Absolutely delicious. We ordered through Uber on Ukranian Christmas, and the driver dropped it off at the wrong door. The theives took our food and refused to answer the door to return the giant order they dishonestly accepted, when Uber went back. We called Uncle Eds back, explaining everything and they were so accomadating. I am very impressed with the food and the staff. Thank you Uncle Eds!

This place is amazing. The value is incredible, you will not leave hungry. Definitely the best Ukrainian food in Edmonton. Only giving it a 4 star and not 5 because the older waitress is rude and openly judgemental of others.

When my friends from Calgary come to Edmonton we always go to Uncle Ed's. The food is the best Ukrainian food in the Edmonton area. They also have a Stawnicky's deli attached so after eating you can purchase goods to make at home. I digress you must you must try the mango/peach pie. Your taste buds will thank you.

Legendary Stawnichy's of Mundare fame. As close to Baba's food as anything I've ever found, quality is of superior excellence. And the staff, without fail, are quite exemplary. Always so polite and helpful, adds to this place being in a league of it's own.

This place is an institution. I’ve never never been able to finish their combos they’re so huge, and for the price there isn’t a better deal for a meal in town. I say a little prayer after every meal that they’re able to hand it over to the next generation so I can enjoy this place for years to come. The deli is as good as it gets too.

And I ordered a half portion of parodies,,,cabbage rolls,,,and crepes,,a cheese bun,,,,this place is awesome! 1st time and will definitely will be eating here again! Great lunch! The large bowl of borscht was just what I needed on a cold gloomy afternoon. You have to have borscht! Just like Mom's! It's tough to pick a favorite item so you get a combination plate! Yummy! Staff are very helpful and nice!

Vidminno!! (Excellent in Ukrainian) the best Ukrainian food in Edmonton. For taste and value this is the best. The food was served fast and hot. The service was friendly and courteous. We did not have to wait long, although I have heard that there can be longer wait times at lunchtime or other peak times. We have been coming here lots over the years and have always enjoyed the food. It is not a large restaurant so that is why it can have longer wait times. The cheddar cheese pierogies are melt in your mouth good. The combo plate of pierogies, crepes, sweet cabbage rolls, ribs is the best. The restaurant is clean as is washroom. Just love this place and will continue to come. Oh and by the way they also have a retail store that sells the Stawnichy’s sausage plus their pierogies.

Okay,. not great. Too much grease used to fry pierogies. Cottage cheese pierogies have a nice flavor. Cabbage rolls tasteless. Would buy pierogies and meat products to make at home.

Uncle Ed's combination dish #13 proved to be a great Hockey Fan pre-game meal. Oilers beat Capitals 4-1 whoop whoop! Tried some authentic Ukrainian beer too at U. Ed's. It was good.

My brother LOVES Ukrainian food, though it’s not my favourite the quality at this restaurant is second to none! The sauerkraut pirogies were incredible, the pork chop excellent & he very much enjoyed spending his birthday dinner there!! I highly recommended this restaurant.

Quiet Friday afternoon when I went in, waitress greeted me, told me to seat myself, promptly have me a menu, and took my drink order. Came back in a timely fashion, took my order, and I was pleased with the presentation, food, and overall experience.

Perogies are comfort food for me. This visit didn't disappoint! We were seated immediately and our server was friendly and helpful. Our coffee was delivered promptly and order taken. I had somewhat complicated requests because I wanted my meal very specific and was accommodated without issue. The food came within a few minutes and was exactly as ordered. It was hot, fresh and delicious! Since we'd arrived just at the start of the dinner rush the restaurant had filled up quickly while we ate so the service staff was busy and didn't offer refills on coffee until we were done eating. The quality of the food and service would make one expect an expensive meal but the prices are very reasonable. The opening hours are shorter than a lot of places so timing a visit is a tiny bit challenging but oh so worth it!

It was many years ago when i was about 6 and they had an all you can eat buffet..... well. All you can eat Ice Cream! To a 6 year old with Grandma and Grandpa. Well i ate SOOOO much i started to shiver and they had to refill the machine! Grandma made me a coffee creamer and sugar drink to warm me up while i was waiting to eat more. Its a very fond memory i have and to see it still operating is just a nice trip back in time and remembering them. Found the place while picking up skip the dishes for delivery. A very happy day! Enjoy your memories of your loved ones! Don't avoid happy places.

The food is always delicious here, though kind of heavy (yeah, Ukrainian food!) We often have to wait a while as it is very busy and closes earlier than most dinner restaurants. They have a little store attached to it where you can buy Ukrainian foods. A great place to come when you don't feel like cooking but want something that tastes like home.

I may have been really hungry when I came here, but oh, was it all worth it to save my appetite for this lunch. We ordered full plates of the sausage and meatballs. The perogies, cabbage rolls & cheese cakes were soooo delicious. I cannot wait to come here again. Staff was amazing too and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Why we didn't come to this place years earlier is beyond me!

This is a family favorite. Over the years the quality has changed , and the one waitress developed a serious drinking problem. But it's still a classic of comfort food. Great meats, great restaurant . I would appreciate it more if the waitress was not sloshed leaning on my table smelling of vodka.

By far one of my favorite restaurants in Edmonton. The menu is so incredibly unique where you can mix and match perogies, burgers, cabbage rolls, etc. with everything else - making it easy to try a little bit of everything without having to spend a fortune on a "party platter" or something. The staff are always lovely. The waitresses know the menu very well and the deli clerks always have samples out waiting. I've recommended this place to family and friends a million times and will continue to do so!

The food was good, for a restaurant. I was a bit disappointed that the cabbage rolls and perogies were a bit tasteless. The hype for the restaurant was very high. The sausage was excellent!! Once we finally got seated, the service was okay, although I didn't get exactly as I ordered. I ate it anyway, as I didn't want to wait any longer. There was a huge table reserved, although it sat empty for 45 minutes before the party arrived. It would have been more efficient to use it for all the people waiting (as long as 50 minutes) and then reserve it for closer to the arrival time. Overall, it was okay.

Best place in Edmonton to get fresh or frozen perogies. We come here often for our work lunches. Great atmosphere with friendly staff and a down home eating environment. Definitely one of Edmonton's best food places to visit while you're here.

We had the Borscht soup, let me tell you it’s the best. We shared the perogies and sausage platter. The best I’ve had ever. This restaurant is a Jem The staff is so kind and professional. Also helping each other with the customers. I highly recommended this place for lunch or supper. We will be back

That smoked pork chop tho! Been here about a hundred times now... And those smoked pork chops have taken me down the road to happiness and fullfilment 99% of those times. There are places where you go and try out the whole menu over time. And then there are places where you find your one true love, and your eyes never stray. Try the smoked pork chop. One of the best places I've ever eaten at when it comes to home-cooked Ukrainian food. You've absolutely got to try the borscht it's one of my favorite ones I've ever tried. They seem to run out of meatballs and mushroom sauce all the time so you might want to watch out for that. The pierogies and cabbage rolls are to-die-for though.
