Punjab Sweets & Restaurant's Reviews and comments
Fresh, delicious and tasty Pakistani food. Buffet and custom orders.
Excellent place. Would visit again. Good value for money. Food was good the guy who owned the place came several times to check on us. Recommend you all who read this review to visit the place.
There samosas are the best. Just they serve less of chutney with it
I ordered their lahori nashta of puri, Chana and halwa. All 3 things were delicious. Then I got some pedas to go, which is a must try.
Been eating here since 1996 and love every bite 🤪❤️ Best Indian food in Edmonton.
Really great food! The servers were kind and helpful. Reasonably priced as well!
We are looking forward to coming back :)
Their vegetable Samusas are very delicious. The buffet is reasonably price and has decent collection of food items. But the taste of the food are not that great. I find they use lot of spices but I couldn’t smell them or taste them in the meat since the were not marinated properly. The Sweets are worth trying. Their stuff and service are better under new ownership. It needs a renovation.
The butter chicken and sweet rice here are the best I have ever eaten. The other food is really good too but that is what brings me back every time. The interior is a bit dated but it's clean and the staff is usually quite inviting and friendly. Easily one of my favourite restaurants in the city!!
So so Delicious foods, good and kind, friendly staff 👍hygiene is perfect, everything is perfect 👍I recommend this restaurant to everyone in Edmonton..Thanks...
Had Halwa Puri breakfast from here, food tasted good and the service was amazing too.
Good mithai (South Asian Sweets), and samosas.
It's been a favorite for many years. I like the options during reopening, after quarantine. They have a staff server, dish the plate as people line up.
My favorites are the butter chicken, sweet rice, lamb curry, and the Deserts.
Food is not too tasty..but nice interiors...they should hire betters chefs.
great tasting food and also have amazing sweets.
I love this place: genuine and friendly staff, *awesome food* and really affordable prices. Although the interior is a bit dated, it actually makes for a unique experience and besides, that is what keeps the prices really low. Without a doubt the best value in town and best tasting : )
As compared to other halal buffets in town, this one is delicious and good value of money. Chicken tikka masala, fried fish, spicy fried fish, fried wings, salads, ras malai, gulab jaman, sweet rice, steam rice, fresh tandori naan, white chicken qorma, lamb curry, mutton peshawari pulao, butter chicken, butter/paneer spinach, butter mushroom, channa daal, all includes in dinner buffet. 5/5 customer service excellent and very quick service to replace plates. Needs a bit of improvement in ras malai and butter mushroom. Butter chicken was not up to the mark, it tasted like some sweet..rather spicy.
Awesome food
Large portions
Great service
Friendly
Huge selection
I recommend trying this business
They make the best milk cake in town
Amazing. I come here every time I go to Edmonton. Butter chicken is fantastic.
A decent experience. Buffet was a decent one, prices were relatively costly.
favorite buffet in edmonton! fresh food! and clean place...
It’s over for this place, it used to be better but now the lack of good management has messed it up. I can’t go back there.bye bye for now.
Authentic taste of East Indian food and Sweet's
Love their butter chicken and Naan bread.
Among top five places to go for Pakistani food in Edmonton
Best jalebi in the town
On this visit I purchased Gulab jamun, barfee and samosas. All of them were great.
It's a good spot to pick up some snacks for Iftar when you are not upto cooking yourself or just nostalgic. I had samosas, jalebi and mithai.
This visit I stopped in quickly to choose from a huge selection of sweets (for Diwali). Everything was amazing. I have had lunch here in the past multiple times and I would highly recommend it.
Great place to get some east Indian sweets. Also their veggie samosas are made well, very delicious and affordable.
Recently tried their samosas. They have changed recipe probably as its a little spicy now. Definitely best samosas in town. Reminded me of Pakistan should definitely try it out.
They have an amazing chef that is responsible for the beautiful sweets from gulag jamun to the almond milk cake. I wanted to touch on the deserts as many are mass produced yet all of theirs are hand crafted. Much love 💘.
Very good food usually get samosas and I my go to place for naan bread when making pizzas. Always a good experience.
I visited this Saturday after over 3 years of not patronizing the restaurant. I noticed that the quality of the food had dropped but the sweets were as yummy as they've always been.
Food is great! I love their Samosas, they come hot and fresh!
Overall decent restaurant and good food, prices are very reasonable. It was a good experience if you're looking to try out something different from time to time.
Great, very delicious Pakistani food
Best samosa available in Edmonton, always fresh prepared on customer’s arrival and placed order. Gulab Jaman and Burfi is the best product Punjab Sweets speciality. They have delivery services which is quick than other fast food place’s.
Excellent breakfest
Amazing veggie samosas for just 95 cents!!!
Enjoyed the food, not a huge selection but the food was very tasty. Albeit a bit mild. If you're looking to sweat during dinner this is not the place. Great for kids, or people with tender tastebuds.
Good service, easy to find with reasonable prices. Will be back.
I have been coming here since the original owner. It’s was amazing back then. I only came for the buffet. It’s not the same as back then, but at least the veggie samosas are still the original recipe.
Good food one of the best Indian restuarant in town, Tried chicken Biryani and lamb curry
Good sweets and deserts
Excellent samosas! Ordered some samosas to go and although it took a while to get my order due to a large number of orders coming in, they gave us some extra samosas. The samosas were fresh and had lots of flavor!
Buffet had very little vegetarian dishes. Also there were at least 4 children running around screaming and playing. Service was good and staff were friendly. The food we did get to eat was decent
social distancing is a struggle .. you're served which is good and food is amazing
Cool place food is awesome
Amazing experience
We were looking for casual easy dinner and the choice was just right. Prices are good just like other buffets... dishes general good I liked the fish but curry were not the best... relaxed atmosphere will go again for sure.
The best food and sweets. I always buy from them.
Highly recommended! Decent selection, reasonable price. A customer asked for saffron rice that wasn't on the buffet on that day, the waitress offered to make it for him, what a nice gesture! Different butter chicken taste than your regular?!
Although this place is not quite as good as it was a couple of years ago, I would still recommend it. The butter chicken is the best I have ever had, and the lamb curry is very good. They do not have a whole lot of dishes or deserts, but the selection is still not bad. Prices are also fairly reasonable. Although this is no longer my favorite Indian restaurant, it is most definitely worth trying. I will note however, that they have changed management quite a lot over the years, and sometimes for the worst.
Nice halal food.
Service was good. Regular check up. Usually people go there for buffet but we like there nan kebab. Sizzling spicy hot kebab with those hot naan they mouth waterin.
This was my first Punjabi restaurant after Brampton and we were soo glad to try. Amazing flavors no extra chillies to give you burning. My kids love the samosa, bhatura, chaat, and almost everything husband became instant fan for the Dood Patti( tea). Best is aaloo prantha and sweets r to die for
Punjabi fast-comfort food/buffet done right. This place is a hallmark of Edmonton's long told but sometimes hidden gems.
Butter pakora or butter chicken with saffron rice, and a bit of the mango chutney on the side, yes please.
Fresh naan is always out, and the waitresses are usually pretty fast with keeping it fresh.
The last few years I feel the quality has gotten even better and more consistent.
This is my favorite restaurant! I love the food here. It's worth the travel! I get take out often. I would recommend the buffet though! Family loves going for buffet! My youngest who's two loves the sweet rice and bitter chicken!!
I've been meaning to write this review for a while now but just got caught up with many other things.
We were a group of 4 who visited Edmonton a couple of weeks ago and after reading all the positive reviews decided to have a meal at Punjab Sweets Restaurant . Wowwie!!!! Now that's what I call a great Service with Amazing food. I've visited many Indian restaurants and have always looked forward to a good experience. I must say specially the Manager
(I can't remember her name) was absolutely brilliant and so warm n friendly and the Food? What can I say.. Couldn't have asked for more Delicious Indian cuisine... :)
Punjab Sweets definitely met my expectations and will be recommended by me to any one who misses Indian food.
Good luck and Great going. :)
Best Punjab food in town HANDS DOWN. Relatively cheap prices & a beautiful selection of food & dessert. Don't let it's exterior looks fool you! It's amazing.
