Staffs are friendly and food is good. Somehow in the last visit, I feel the soup base is not as rich as before.

Takara Plum wine was deliciously sweet, complex and refreshing! a great mixture of aftertastes to compliment your meal. Tried their new takoyaki menu -- gekki kara -- served fresh -- piping hot and crisp on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. generous piece of tako in the centre. Would have wished that there were more toppings on the top. Needed two bites to finish each one and there were only enough toppings for the first bite. Shio Ramen is always a classic. Broth was light and flavorful and pleasantly tasty -- quite different than tokiwa which has a heavier flavour to their broth. Price a little on the heavy side... but with covid everything is. Service top notch! Kuddos to the waitress!

The atmosphere was great, guidelines were followed, they sanitized the tables. The food was not terrible but it wasn't the best I've tasted either, my point is it's good. All of the staff were friendly and they played some kpop songs which I enjoyed throughout the dining experience. I would definitely come back.

Huge disappointment. Came here last week for the famous ramen. It was so sweet it could have been a dessert. The broth was just bland and sweet. Service was nice and the sashimi and tempura were good though.

The place was nice and quiet for a Saturday afternoon. Didn't wait long to be seated and once seated the staff were quick to come take a drink order. Food came quick and was very flavourful. The presentation was very well done too. Overall, I'd recommend a stop when you're passing by.

Went here to meet up with a friend and luckily made it for Happy Hour (ends at 18:00). The server let me order a few beers ahead of time before happy hour ended as well! Got the Dragon Roll and the Tan Tan ramen and they were both very good. Would definitely recommend them. A great place to catch up with a friend for sure.

I went here with my wife an a couple of friends for the very first time and Nomiya definitely did not disappoint. Everything we had was so fresh and had sooo much flavour. Nothing was over done and the service was incredible. Our server answered all of on incessant questions and had some great suggestions for things we could try. I’m definitely going back. I need to make my way through their menu 😃🍽

For Ramen, the soup is weak without depth and the noodles are really quite poor quality. The curry is not very good either, really lacks the flavour that you get in most Japanese restaurants. The food looks good but the taste is meh.

Very good ramen and sushi spot. Stopped by for lunch and had the tan tan ramen that featured spicy broth infused with peanuts. Was definitely one of the better ramen bowls I’ve had, and portion was filling. Also ordered the crispy spicy tuna to share and that was pretty good. Very fast service and staff was friendly.

Nomiya has always been kind of a love hate restaurant and it's not them, it's me. I don't enjoy ramen, and being a noodle bar, they have a lot of it. Thankfully, they have other Japanese menu items as well. Most recently (I've been here before) my family and I grabbed some Katsu Curry and the flavour was very decent! The curry's heat intensified as you ate more and more of it but the potatoes and carrots weren't as tender as I would have like. On previous visits I have tried the ramen (which I didn't like) but some people have said their ramen is decent. If anything I enjoyed the soba noodles more which came with tempura. Like some reviews have said, Nomiya is very baby friendly! They have a whole dining set for them if you come with a little one (which is super cute). The servers were patient and nice even though we came about 45 mins before closing. The place has become very spacious and was very clean. They have two locations now so if you're a little bit more South than the Gateway location, there's a Nomiya in Ellerslie. So definitely give them a try! If you love ramen, I heard it's good, but everything else is pretty good too.

The food here is decent, the place is clean, and the service is satisfactory. I have been here several times before. It's not the first place that comes to mind when in the neighborhood, but good enough. We had ramen and a bento box the other day and surprisingly the ramen was pretty good. It wasn't as salty as other places make it, and we were happy with the quality of the meat cuts, as well as the quantity. The bento box was decent, with exception to the salad that was a bit mushy and wet.

I highly recommend Nomiya, Calgary trail branch, because of their good food and great service. Funny thing is that they(staff) say "irasshaimase" and you think they are Japanese but they talk to themselves in Cantonese and Mandarin. I was confused whether to say thank you in Japanese or Mandarin. I just said it in english. Lol ...It's always a pleasure to eat at a place where staff are welcoming. I was almost not able to eat my seafood ramen because it took them a lot of effort making this. I wish I can make a dish like this someday. You have to try their food. You be the judge. But i rate their food a 5/5. I've been here 3 times already. Always order their Dragon Roll! Happy hour from 4:30 to 6pm Monday to Thursday!!! P.S. The restaurant is clean and the washrooms as well.

Overall I would give this place a great rating. The food was very good and quickly prepared. We had a small issue with the food, which was promptly rectified. I didn't want to give it 5 stars for the sole reason I couldn't find the one thing that makes this place different from other restaurants of similar statue. Still 5/5 in food.

I come here every time I am in Edmonton. Great service, good Ramen and Sushi. I also like the candies that come with the bill. A good staple when traveling, I like straight forward service and easy options. These guys have it all. I also really like that they remember that I come regularly. I love feeling welcome. Means the people care and that makes all the difference in the world for a restaurant.

Ordered the Dragon roll and another roll, Dragon roll is an all time fave if you go visit this restaurant. Nice small restaurant along calgary trail. I feel like that the portion is getting smaller and smaller. There are more sushi rice than the fish it self for that alone I can only give this restaurant 3 stars.

I feel like their ramen is underrated. Nomiya has great ramen dishes. I stopped here for a quick dinner and the service was great. We didn’t wait for a long time and the broth is so tasty. The deep fried salmon skin chips are pretty good too.

This is one of my favorite sushi places when not going for all you can eat. Great quality proteins, larger portions (thicker slices) than some other sushi places I have gone to, at comparable prices. Haven't tried the ramen.

Great sushi, eaten here more than 10 times in the past 4 years. Good value for price. I have tried a dozen of their maki rolls and they are all very very good. I eat at sushi places all over western Canada this one is top notch.

The spicy garlic ramen is right up my alley and is one of those foods you just get mad cravings for. I'd like to try other ramens but it's hard to not choose this one! The noodles also have a great texture to them and are a clear step up from your everyday instant packages.

This was our second visit to Nomiya and it was just as tasty as our first visit. My husband is a ramen noodle fiend and really enjoyed the black garlic ramen. I went with the bento box this time and it was tasty as expected. Staff is friendly and it was fairly quiet at lunch time. I would like to go back to try their sushi.

The restaurant is clean and staff were very friendly. The restaurant offers a wide variety of Japanese food ramen, sushi, and bento boxes. The ramen soup was delicious and was very similar to what I had tried in Japan. I will definitely be coming here again to get my Japanese food fix.

One of my favourite places to go for Ramen!!! And it’s great that they have multiple locations, I especially love Noodle Bar dt! I recently tried their ramen kits! Can’t say enough good things about it! So fresh, packaged nicely with everything you need ...just like dining in. The broth is so rich in flavour It’s perfectly priced at $25 which will feed 2! I definitely will be coming back for more!

I am a regular at this location and often get the beef donburi or shoyu ramen but for new years eve we bought the fry platter. There were a couple of items included on the platter I haven't tried but it's safe to say that once it's okay to safely eat in house again I will be ordering takoyaki! Nomiya's food is always something I enjoy and can almost pick items at random and still eat it with no cares, and I feel like a pretty picky eater! 10/10 would recommend this location!

I've been a couple times now, and enjoyed it both times. I always leave full, and the prices are very reasonable. Has a nice casual atmosphere, service is always good, and the ramen is quite tasty. Had the dragon rolls last time and liked how they torched the top of them at the table before adding the roe, definitely recommend it. And under 60 bucks for two people for a meal is always a good deal. I'd definitely recommend it!

I had my first Ramen on the red light district in Amsterdam on a cold, rainy February day. I have been on the hunt to recreate that afternoon bowl of comfort ever since. I tried Menjiro and was initially satisfied - until I had Nomiyas Tan Tan ramen. 😍 wow. This sesame peanut broth is DELICIOUS, creamy with a hint of spice from the minced pork. I live about 45 minutes away from this location and it’s almost a good thing, otherwise I think I’d go broke ordering it all the time. The hand stretched noodles are nothing like the boiled ones at other noodle bars and it shows - these have a perfectly slurpable texture that doesn’t disintegrate in your mouth either. The only thing I would change about it is there really isn’t much for toppings, which are the fun part of Ramen! Nomiya, you can do better at this! Look at how beautiful and exciting all your other ramen dishes look. Add some delicious decorations to this bowl! Menjiro has an incredible seafood pancake with bonito flakes that is similar to the one I ordered in Amsterdam, and I’d love to see this added to the menu to complete the experience. Thanks Nomiya!

We ordered through skip the dishes and unfortunately got the wrong order delivered. Due to COVID restrictions we contacted the restuarant directly. The staff was wonderful and understanding of the mixup. They remade our order and it was hot and delicious. Please note that we did pay for this reorder and skip did reimburse us. Thank you Nomiya for the quick and accurate service on a mistake that was outside of their control.

Love the tan tan ramen from this joint, sushi is a hit or miss for me, ordered tuna one time and it was a little off in freshness that day. Another time ordered salmon and it was really good. Definitely a good place to bring friends to visit. Close to home and no waiting time. Will come again

I stopped for a quick lunch while I was in the area and I was nice. I don't think that the sushi was fresh made (it was lunch rush) but the food was tasty and the price was decent considering how much I got. I was a bit disappointed that they only provided packets of soy sauce rather than a dipping cup. But otherwise I am not disappointed with my choice.

I've been here twice now for dinner, and once for lunch. The flavor of the foods is not perfect (ramen is generally too salty) but it's really quite decent, if a bit overpriced. I'd like to see more competitive pricing here, at least for dishes that don't involve any seafood. But the service has always been great here and the time to get your food is very good too.

Great Ramen. Dumplings did have a previously frozen taste. Overall the food is pretty good. Staff was a little inattentive, but to be fair I was at the sushi bar and on watching my phone. Location on maps is incorrect, it is a building south. Google won't change it, because you can't tell them they are wrong.

Absolutely amazing food! Sometimes the service is a hit and miss, but that's what happens when its busy! Servers are usually nice and cheerful. Their tam tam ramen dish is highly recommended!
