Hamilton Burlington SPCA's Reviews and comments
We’ve fostered various kitties with the HBSPCA for just over 3 years now and most recently adopted our first feline friend from them! The staff are always so friendly and hardworking - you can tell just how much they love the animals. Fostering for this SPCA has been an amazing experience and they provide the food/litter/etc which is wonderful!! ❤️
We visited the dog park for the first time last Thursday I was really impressed there's a lot of open space and all the dogs were extremely friendly.
My dog Koda had a great time running and playing with all the other dogs, I would suggest grabbing yourself a coffee and socializing with other dog owners it makes for a great evening or afternoon outing.
Adopted our second cat Piper from the Hamilton-Burlington SPCA - the process was simple and quick allowing us a smooth transition to welcome Piper home! 🐱
I loved how the called to say my little guys did awesome through surgery, and asked some questions about them... another good experience with the spca...thank you..
Friendly staff. If your looking for a place to have your cat spayed or neutered contact the SPCA they do have extreme low cost for specific postal codes sometimes but on an everyday basis you can get up to two cats per hour I household done for a great price. $125 per cat they get their surgery includes sedation. Micro chip needle/de-worm. It's done by a professional veterinarian can't beat it!!
Called them on a hunch someone wasn't living in the best conditions for their animals. They showed up within 48 hours and went right into action.
Did a wellness check and the animals seemed fine, the person in question lived like a pig but didn't treat their animals the same which confused me, but I won't complain.
All and all they were super great, & were more then willing to come back if anything else was a concern.
They did a great job with fixing my cats and gentle
I recently stopped in at this location for a quick check up for my dog and the experience was great! I was greeted by staff at my appointment time and they were amazingly friendly and helpful. He is very nervous around vet staff so they kept everything quick and painless so he will be happy to see them next time. I will be back again later for the leash free dog park which is awesome.
A very important and helpful service to the city. Helped me with the adoption of my pet, and are an excellent resource with friendly and knowledgeable staff. My cat and I are both very happy with our visit here.
They do the most amazing things for pets! Keep up the great work HBSPCA Team
Great place took in a stray of my neighborhood and cleaned and fixed him all up great prices
Amazing at what they do for families! Awaiting to have my cat neutered when available in my area code here in Hamilton!
Good service but I have a question do you cremate pets?
All my questions were answered via their website, totally up to date
It was time to saddly euthanize my 19 year old cat. I took her there. All handled professionally. I will always remember her💞💞
I visited with a friend, that was adopting one of the 150 dogs rescued by the SPCA.
Heather was amazing in helping us with the paperwork and answering all the questions we had!
Very friendly and helpful staff, doing good work. Much appreciated.
Just want to thank S.P.C.A for taking our daughters cat for spay/neutr on tues morning. We appreciate you for EVERYTHING you do! Thank you so much!😎👍🙏😊🤗😁♥️♥️♥️♥️ Liitle Johns
I can't say enough good things about the HBSPCA. Not only do they do amazing work helping our local pets find homes, but they offer an affordable spay/neuter service that helps the community in an incredibly important way. I brought my female cat to the hbscpa clinic for her spay surgery and I was impressed with the results. They provide an in depth booklet about surgery recovery, the included immunizations, and microchip. I was amazed to see how small my cats surgical incision was and how quick recovery has been.
If you are looking to adopt a furchild this is the place to go. They are very thoughal with the adoption process. It kind of felt like a job interview, but, that's good! They want to make sure the fur children under their care go to forever homes.
Provided a rabbit nail trim for $15. Would love an easier booking process (info online about the service and who to call?) but overall great to have this option!
I love my kitty. It was an easy process.
I needed to have my cat then my dog put down.
I was able to go in with my cat while they made her sleep but because of Covid I was not able to be with my dog ( both were old and had problems ).
I miss my animals very much!
The SPCA was kind and answered all my questions. It helped me to relax. Also since I am on O.D.S.P I was able to get a discount. Which helped me afford it.
Plus I received a discount having my son's cat fixed. It was a lot in 2 years.
I thank them for the wonderful work they do.
Please keep in mind that they can always use donations for all te animals that go there.
Left donations of cat food on a cart outside. Wished I could have had a personal touch
They have helped my little furballs more times than I can count. Never had a bad experience. I took in a couple of stray kitties mother and daughter and they helped me out by giving me discounted spaying. Now I can get medications for a year straight from a vet instead of way weaker stuff from pet stores
They responded to the call in a timely fashion.
On December 9th we adopted this sweet little girl from the pound she has been the pride and joy of our... Don't get from a breeder take from the pound... Give a good loving dog a good loving 🐾🐶🐕❤️❤️🐾❤️
I was able to find about 70% of the information I was looking for. (My interest is in fostering cats/kittens)
It was a sad day. We had to put our 19 year old cat (Snowball) down. All was handled professionally.
Great experience. Staff is wonderful.
I couldn't be more happier with Hamilton Burlington SPCA... I recently got incarcerated and Animal control took my dog... When I got out the animal control would not tell me where my dog was... I couldn't be more disappointed with them as they not only didn't tell me where I could find my dog but they were rude as well... I ended up finding my dog on the SPCA site and I called in and told them that it was my dog... Thank God I called in cause he was suppose to be adopted out that day.. but they let me readopt him myself... Which was WAY cheaper then if I were to have to pay all the fees from the pound... Plus they neutered him and put in a chip... Plus I got a months worth of pet insurance and they had taken some skin tags he had and tested them to see if they were cancerous... The only thing was is he had lost alot of weight..but to be fair that wasn't their fault... It's just cause my dog hates being away from us... Thank you so much Hamilton/Burlington SPCA...
Great service and friendly staff i recoment coking here get your pet fixed or needles dobe here cheaper then beaties or other animal hospitals
Great staff, always helpful and friendly. I had my cat Sparrow spayed here last year and just took my boy Bender to be neutered. Great prices and excellent service from knowledgeable people who obviously care a great deal about the animals they look after.
Facility is very clean and welcoming, it's a little out of the way but I'd definitely recommend taking your pets here for their care.
Awesome for looking after your pets. I had the pleasure of speaking with two of staff members and they were extremely nice and helpful. They explained everthing and answered every question we had. By far better than these private vets who will charge you hundreds just by walking in thier clinic. Highly recommended. Thank you for what you do and who you are. Appreciate all the work you do.
Bring ur kitten here for all it's first shots n neutering very affordable
Great and caring staff, handle my poor old and sick dog till his final moment. Thank you
They were very helpful and informative regarding the process for helping a stray cat I brought in.
Got my woof rabies shot last week, they charge fairly good price $35 compare to other animal clinic and give us a little gift after the shoot. There are street dogs available for adoption now,if you are interested check there website for the details.
I had my cats spayed and neutered at the community vet clinic. The staff were great in explaining the procedure, were very loving with my cats, and all around fantastic. After care was offered but not needed. I highly recommend this community service if you have cats as it is only 95$ (unless you get into one of their 20$ spay days - check out their FB for details as they go monthly by postal code) and helps reduce the amount of unwanted kittens in the city! It's win win!
Adopted 2 of their beautiful kittens!! Amazing service from all HSPCA team. And what a wonderful addition to our home!
They were so helpful and polite. They were good to my kitty... I'm thankful for the spca.
They are all volunteers with 1 common goal, to care for the animals that are injured, dumped by owners, or just strays, no matter there age or disabilities. To find them Forever Homes when they become adoptable. Educating the public on how to care for them. My pets all came from here. My dog who was found abandoned in cayote lands at under a year old. Cats, Francis older cat with feline aids, arthritis and no upper teeth, Skeeter was hyper and didn't get along with others. Both cats are originally feral, SPCA found them a forever home with us.. Francis is camera shy. Buddy he died in his 15th year.
Where would some us be without this place? They were also very nice and helpful.
They have always assisted me with my colony. I can't imagine my life without the support they have given me! Thanks so much to all of you!
Very helpful and compassionate about animals.
Guess they did expect the turn out for the 20 dollar Spad a nueter. 3/4 turned away.
They wete amazing with my pets
There dont take kittens ..so they definitely didnt have our kittens
Wonderful staff, very helpful! I had never adopted through a shelter before and they made it painless. Found our newest family member and we are thrilled (and so is Binx, formerly Hompi, seen here snuggling our 7 y/o)!
We'll definitely be back to this location in the future.
I just had them all fixed up and I’m glad that they were able to take them because it would’ve cost me like it has been because they haven’t been open to take any animals but I mean going to the hospital they charge you all kinds of fees and stuff like that you walk out of their own $200 a cat where is for $95 you get the cat neutered fully chipped Defleaed And their shots
I got my last 2 pups here.
Good clean and kind establishment
The SPCA had taken great care and did an amazing job on my baby, Buddy when he had to be neutered and microchiped.
I'm still waiting for them to open to the public. I'm hoping to find a puppy that is hypoallergenic. Can't wait
Amazing place! Friendly and caring staff! I adopted my little fur baby here !!
Love how the field isnt so big for my smaller dog. People are way way better and everyone gets to know everyone as we are all friendly including dogs. Love how they have a separate gate to get into for the river part. If I don't want to have a muddy dog I don't have to worry about it as the one in ancaster worry as she goes flying for it. Love this place
Nice phone service
We adopted a puppy nearly 3 years ago named Monty (now his name is Hugo). I’ve wanted a dog all my life and getting him has still been the best day of my life. He had a brother named Python and I hope he’s doing just as good as Hugo. Not a day goes by without him making me laugh and smile. Thanks SPCA! :)
Awesome people 🥳🎉🙏🏻
Very friendly staff answered all my questions took very good care of my cat.
I used their Spay/Neuter programme. Everything was smooth and pleasant from the 1st contact.
Highly recommend!
Friendly staff and excellent vet care. I brought in a stray cat that has adopted me, named her Xerox because she is identical to my other cat. She never leave the property now. Vets performed a spay, Vax and micro chip. Great work team.
Great place, super muddy at times though. Wish SPCA could lay some concrete walk ways.
Community spat/neuter program is amazing. Staff are all helpful and very caring
I love my kitties! The staff is very friendly and helpful.
I've had to put down two small animals with the Burlington SPCA and both times have been everything I could have asked for. The staff member was very comforting and treated my sick animals with respect. They even followed up with a handwritten card in the mail expressing condolences. I was very impressed with both experiences and will really appreciate them for not judging me for ugly crying over pet rats.
Picked up our new furry friend here and felt very well and informed. Staff was helpful and showed care for each animal.
My 11 year old boston terrier (sassy) passed away so we donated her food to some fur friends at the spca, I wish I could do more for these pets RIP SASSY 2009-2020
Little difficult for people to get through but otherwise helpful.
They were very compassionate , caring and supportive which means a lot when you have to make a hard decision to make your pets suffering come to an end. Its not a pleasant thing to have to do but its what is best for your furbaby.
They are very nice😁🐱
I adopted my cat from the HBSPCA last Saturday, and had such a wonderful experience! Sherry in particular was so helpful and supportive through the whole process, and made a lasting impression on me and my family. Thank you for helping my new kitty find his forever home. :)
I rescued 2 kittens and they took them right away to help them.🙂
Great friendly staff, detailed expertise and very kind
The lower forested area is a wonderful leash free park for our dogs and others.
Got my best friend here. Great staff
I had to have my cat of 13years down and the staff here were completely understandable and compassionate with me. It made my experience much easier.
I love the lower half of the park
Adopted my pupper from here. Although she was not a pup at all (9 years old) the staff was very picky on who got to give Miss Mae a home. Having grown up with the same breed as her (rottweiler) and having a large backyard and a house with no steps. I was lucky enough to take her home. So grateful for the staff as it has been 4 years now and Miss Mae is still going strong! The facility is clean and organized and if you were not selected to be the owner of the dog you chose; you should have peace of mind knowing their decision process is not rushed. And more than likely a better suited home was picked. Never personal
SPCA was wonderful. The staff allowed a great adoption to happen between me and Bonita. She has been amazing. And Bonita LOVES the dog park!
Best poke bowl I've ever had. Ordered the aloha bowl and cali bowl. Absolutely delicious
Wonderful Place. The Staff are Considerate and Very Friendly.
Such a fun park for all kinds of dogs. Donate to the SPCA!
Great peeps
Safe
Rescued my new copilot in life from this location. Great facility and excellent staff. Bobo thanks you all for looking after him in his time of need.
Adopt an animal in need. You.ll be rewarded.
My new best friend found me here! The staff were very friendly and helpful too!!
I wish I could have taken this beautiful gal home. The lack of animals there is a good sign they are doing things right, the staff was very helpful
Always informative and well organized
We adopted Mimi today and the staff were amazing!
This location does a phenomenal job caring for their animals. All staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I had a great experience here multiple times and even took a field trip with kids there.
They have a great spay neuter program that I utilized! My baby Sophia!
They took very good care of my little guy on his first trip to the vet. Fantastic spay/neuter program so that it's accessible for everyone. Spca should do it that way in every city
